ASBA isn’t just a sauna association – we are a sweat bathing association. That means we support all manner of sweat bathing activities, including saunas, steam rooms, sweat lodges, and even hot springs. Technically hot-springs are a different category of bathing (using hot water, not hot air), but we’re still happy to include them in our scope until any specific national associations arise for this purpose.
But despite our broad scope, ASBA is fundamentally a sauna association. We are Australia’s member in the International Sauna Association, and our aim is to build a new Australian sauna culture.
